Beth

Beth started dancing at the age of 8yrs at The June Glennie School of Dance and by the time she was 14 years old she was helping with the younger members on Saturday mornings. Beth has now taught at the June Glennie School for over 30yrs. Mostly teaching tap from 4yrs through to her adult lessons, she also takes the toddlers and the younger members for ballet.

Beth has had numerous successes over the years some locally and others father a field. For many years she has entered her pupils for the prestigious Marjorie Davies Tap Awards in London where her pupils have been winners of the junior, senior and premier awards. Beth also has an excellent record of achievement with her festival work where her pupils have achieved amazing results right up to The All England Dance Festival finals in the west end Peacock theatre. One of Beth’s highlights in her teaching career was being asked by the production team of Billy Elliot (West End) if she could give classes to one of the boys training to be a Billy Elliot.

Sharon

Sharon trained at JuneGlennie School until the age of 16 then went on to finish her training at Laine theatre Arts in Epson, were she gained her Teaching qualification and Diploma. From there she went to teach in Italy choreographing for many show and TV .She then retuned to teach modern Grade 1 to Adv2 and senior ballet  Grade 3 to Adv 1 at the school.

Over the years we have have had many successes in festivals locally and international ,the  Istd awards winning the Istd Ballet Awards Cup 6 times in a row. Istd modern awards gaining numerous first and second places.

For the past 5 years Sharon has choreographed for the Gorleston Panto directed by Desmond Barrit (plays Wizard in Wicked), as well as 2 production of the touring Strictly Come Dancing at the Marina Theatre Lowestoft.

Ruth

Ruth started dancing aged 7 at The June Glennie School of Dance. At the age of 16 she gained a place at Laine Theatre Arts where she studied for three years, graduating with three Associates, most major examinations with honours and took her RAD Solo Seal. Ruth continued to work as a professional dancer on an international basis for several years - London’s’ top hotels with household names like Bob Monkhouse, Bruce Forsythe, Marty Webb and David Essex; many trade shows at the NEC and Olympia; three Royal Galas and TV shows such as Pebble Mill at One, Lovejoy and Sherlock Holmes as well as working in hotels and venues round the world.

Sixteen years ago, Ruth returned to June Glennie to teach ballet to all ages and abilities.

Heidi

Heidi has been teaching Singing for 7 years and is currently embarking on the Estill Master Trainer Pathway with mentor Anne Marie Speed, prior to this she completed an Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre with the London College of Music. Professionally with her Choir Heidi has worked with Aled Jones, Jonathan Antoine, Blake in Concert and Richard & Adam Johnson.

Following the London College of Music Examination Music Theatre Syllabus Heidi enters students regularly for graded examinations of which she has a 100% success rate.

Sue

Sue Danced at June Glennies school of dance as a child, when New Modern Sylabus started as Glennie was one of only schools in the area to teach Standard Modern.

At 16 She joined Doreen Bird and at the age of 19 she worked on American Bases throughout Germany teaching Dance for 2 years. On Return she had a family and started helping June with teaching when her daughter Lauren was age 4 and has been teaching here since totalling 26 years.
